KMAC Museum is celebrating the milestone of 15,000 visitors enjoying the museum thanks to the free admission made possible by Delta Dental of Kentucky’s charitable initiative, Making Smiles Happen®. Louisville, Kentucky (January 10, 2017) – Heuser Hearing Institute (HHI) is off to a great start this year with a $100,000 donation from Delta Dental of Kentucky’s charitable initiative, Making Smiles Happen®. The donation will support The Listen Up! Project, free hearing tests, and hearing and oral health educational presentations throughout the state.
Louisville, KY [November 14, 2016] – Delta Dental and its Making Smiles Happen® campaign will add charging stations to the main concourse of the KFC Yum! Center for guests to utilize during concerts, shows and University of Louisville sporting events.
Additionally, the Making Smiles Happen campaign has created a “Smile Power Lounge” interactive area on the Third Street side of the arena’s main concourse that will feature both charging stations and an interactive social media campaign of #MakingSmilesHappen. Fans are encouraged to take a smiling selfie at the KFC Yum! Center and tag it with #MakingSmilesHappen. These selfies will appear on the digital screens located in the Smile Power Lounge.

Louisville, KY (November 11, 2016) - USA Cares is pleased to announce it received a large donation from Delta Dental of Kentucky’s charitable initiative, Making Smiles Happen®, to benefit their veteran support programs and events.
Delta Dental has been contributing financially to the organization since 2013, but has since increased its giving over the last two years. To date, the organization has received over $250,000 in grant money from Delta Dental to help move USA Cares’ mission forward. These funds will benefit the USA Cares Standing in Reflection Gala, as well as further its commitment in providing assistance to post-9/11 active duty U.S. military service personnel, veterans, and their families.
LOUISVILLE, KY, NOVEMBER 10, 2016– Arts in education programming is coming to Western Kentucky schools thanks to an expanded program from Delta Dental of Kentucky and Fund for the Arts. The Delta Dental Making Smiles Happen® Arts in Education Initiative launches for a second year after a successful first year where 17,500 students from Jefferson County Public Schools and Eastern Kentucky received enriching arts experiences. During 2016-2017, Delta Dental of Kentucky and Fund for the Arts will now be able provide arts in education programs for an estimated 10,000 additional students in two regions of the Commonwealth, including 27 Eastern Kentucky counties and 34 Western Kentucky counties.
Louisville, KY (October 31, 2016) — Blessings in a Backpack is pleased to announce it received a $300,000 donation from Delta Dental of Kentucky’s charitable initiative, Making Smiles Happen® on Friday, October 28, to feed 1,000 children in Jefferson, Hazard, and Boone County, Kentucky, for three years. This generous donation will support Blessings in a Backpack’s mission of providing hunger-free weekends for elementary school children in our community who are living in food insecure households.
